5 Day Throwing Boot Camp

 

August 5th - 9th, 2024

9:00am - 6:00pm (1 hour lunch break) Instruction will be given from 9:30am - 4:30pm

 

$500 per person (includes GST and PST).  Full payment due before Jul 5th.

This workshop is open to both beginner and advanced students.  

How good a thrower do you want to be?  This is a week of honing your skills.

• Improve and perfect your centering

• Opening and maintaining center

• Alternative ideas for lifting

• Learn new throwing techniques

• Make intentional shapes

• Learn about repartition throwing

• Make pieces the same size and shape

If you are currently making bowls and small cylinder forms or if you want to get into making jugs, jars and teapots, this is the course for you.  You can start from any level you are currently at and move forward from there.

 WHAT TO BRING

​

Bring drawings, photos and general research for the initial development stage of the workshop.

​

Please bring with you a suitable apron or coveralls, a towel and any tools that you may already have.  Clay, equipment and additional tools needed for the workshop will be provided.
